On July 4, at the Polytechnic of Milan, was held the third meeting of the Lombardy Regional Implementation Group (MI.LO.) entitled "networking: strengthen the territorial cooperation.
Image - Picture The discussion was attended by the representatives of the incubators and by the institutions of the Lombardy region and municipality of Milan. The focus of the discussion was the incubation system, considering its main components and the synergistic way of interaction of these elements.

During the event have been presented the best practices of collaboration and networking encountered during the study visit organized within the framework of the InCompass project.

In particular, the experiences reported have been those of Dutch network of creative incubators (The Dutch Creative Residency Network) and the Innovation Network RDM Campus in Rotterdam.

On the basis of this discussion the working table has identify the main reinvigorate and fainting forces of the regional incubation system.

At the end of discussion the participants proposed synergies, forms of cooperation and coordination, useful for strengthen the Lombardy incubation system. The experiences reported have allowed to introduce the discussion about the possibility of local decision-makers to facilitate a dialogue between parties, even with divergent objectives, and the creation of collaborative synergies. Operations which seem to present hide difficulties of success and effectiveness in the results.

During the second part of the meeting the Lombardy Region, thanks to the collaboration with the Polytechnic of Milan, has present a research about services centers for start-ups and it has propose an hypothesis of Lombard network  between hubs, realized within the framework of CCAlps project (Creative Companies in Alpine Space European project).

The working table MI.LO will continue its work with other thematic meetings in the second half of 2013 and 2014.
