MI.LO. Milan and Lombardy working table between institutions and incubators

On March 26, was held the second meeting of Lombardy Regional Implementation Group, a regional working table which aims to discuss and analyze the best practices on creative business incubation emerged from InCompass study visit.
Image - Picture Image - Picture The objectives of MI.LO., in addition of those already defined by the project, can be summarized in:
  • Develop a networking actions for the collaboration between incubators and institutions.
  • Develop recommendations to improve the support policies for the sustainability of incubator.
  • Stimulate an open debate regarding new incubation policies and actions for creative industries.
  • Establish a “contact point” to coordinate and catalyze the incubation model needs.

The meeting was attended by representatives from Lombardy Region (DG Research, Innovation and productive activities and DG Culture, Identity and Autonomies), Municipality of Milan, Province of Milan and the representatives from the following incubators:
  • Bic – la fucina-
  • Euroimpresa Legnano
  • Alimenta – Science Thecnological Park
  • Milan Polihub- Accelerator Polytechnic Milan -
  • Avanzi - make a cube -
  • The hub Milan
  • Digital magics
  • Filarete Business Accelerator
During the meeting was presented the Incompass project, its mission and the study visits carried out until now. Furthermore was also illustrated the strategy of working table, stimulating participants to bring out their expectations.
Image - Picture Image - Picture Image - Picture The meeting started with a round table of presentations, during which the participants presented their reality, the reasons for their participation and the expectations for the MI.LO implementation.
Following the presentation of Milan study visit report, the discussion has been focused on the analysis of incubation needs.

The discussion was held into a fruitful and collaborative atmosphere which leads on to analyze the regional situation and compare it with the European excellences analyzed by the InCompass project.

The most important results come out from the meeting has been "clusterized" and that will be the starting point to define the thematic focus of the next MI.LO meetings.
