RIG meeting Delft/Rotterdam

The sixth meeting of the Regional Implementation Group Rotterdam-Delft took place on 29 September in Rotterdam. On the agenda were the study visit report on Medway and London, the Final Conference in Brussels and the conference of the Dutch Incubator Association in The Hague. The RIG members spent most time, however, on discussing the next step in the development of the Regional Implementation Plan, and in this regard they made significant progress.

The overarching theme, however, was the role of the incubator as an active mediator between start-ups on the one hand and know-how, regional clusters, and investors on the other. The RIG members considered this type of active incubator crucial for the regional incubation system, but were less outspoken about the role of public policy-makers in this.
