30 Jan 13 | Delft University of Tech

The second Regional Implementation Group Delft took place on 30 January 2013 at Delft University of Technology. The first meeting, during the study visit to Rotterdam in May last year, introduced the project and the project team to the RIG members. This second meeting discussed the report on that Rotterdam study visit.

Rotterdam and Leiden, various institutions for higher or vocational education, as well as entrepreneurs and consultants. The discussion was very lively, not the least because the report concerned the RIG members’ home region. The report included many practices that RIG members recognized and considered highly relevant for the incubators in the region. In addition, the discussion focused on practices that are inspired by the Rotterdam report, among other things the distinction between creative and non-creative start-ups, including the implication this has for various types of incubators, and on the question to which extent the real estate aspect of incubators should be separated from the incubation programme.

After nearly two hours of intensive discussion the RIG members separated, expressing their enthusiasm for the project and their interest in future meetings on new study visit reports.
